Automated decision-making

1. What we automate

Alverik renders the following decisions based on exclusively automated processing of personal information:

• Opportunity scoring — a bid/no-bid recommendation for each procurement opportunity, derived from your governed company profile and the opportunity record.
• Proposal draft generation — the body of every governed first draft, composed from your profile, the opportunity, and AI models.
• Daily digest ranking — the order in which opportunities appear in your daily email, weighted by predicted fit.
• Proposal health checks — automated findings about coverage, compliance, and quality of a draft you have written or refined.

2. How we make these decisions

Each automated decision combines (a) your governed profile data, (b) the relevant public procurement record, and (c) AI models hosted in the United States by Anthropic. Profile data is stored in Canada. At inference time, the relevant slice of your profile is transmitted to the AI provider for the duration of the call only; outputs are returned to Canada and persisted there. We log the cost and token usage of every call for billing reconciliation.

3. Your rights

Under Quebec Law 25 §12.1 and PIPEDA, you have the right at any time to:

• Request a human review of any automated decision. We will assign the request to a qualified operator and respond within 30 calendar days.
• Request the reasons and main factors that led to a specific automated decision. We will explain the inputs used and the broad logic applied.
• Request correction of any personal information used to render the decision.
• Withdraw your consent to cross-border processing at any time from Settings → Privacy & data. After withdrawal, all automated decision-making is paused on your account until you re-grant consent.

4. How to exercise these rights

Email privacy@alverik.ca from your account-of-record address with the decision you want reviewed (a link to the score, draft, ranking, or health-check page is sufficient). We will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and respond substantively within 30 calendar days.
